Workshops with Author, Alan Nolan
The pupils in Carbury School enjoyed workshops with children's author, Alan Nolan, today. It was a real treat to have a published author visit our school. Alan also illustrates his own books and travelled all the way from Wicklow to be with us. Pupils in Junior Infants to 3rd Class enjoyed listening to animal stories and completed a drawing based on Animal Crackers, a book written by Alan Nolan and Sarah Webb. 4th to 6th Class listened to a reading from Alan's new book Molly Malone & Bram Stoker in The Sackville Street Caper. The children discovered the inspiration behind the book and took part in a vampire draw-along. We were delighted to have our friends from 2nd to 5th Class in St. Clare's join us as part of our Shared Education project.
