We celebrated the wonderful success of our school garden by having a whole school picnic in the playground. All hands were on deck this morning to harvest the luscious lettuce , herbs and salad leaves from our four raised beds. We were thrilled with how well the crops thrived. All pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth Class made a sandwich with the produce from the garden. It was a very rewarding experience for the children to sample the variety of crops they worked so hard to grow.
