Congratulations to the green school committee, the pupils and staff for all their hard work in getting the green school water flag award for our school. A special thanks to James Melvin (senior executive engineer, water services, Sligo Co .Council) for presenting the flag to the committee in assembly this morning. The committee gave an informative presentation on the 7 steps that were involved in getting the award. Afterwards, the committee visited a local shop, "All things Natural" to learn how one lady is tackling plastic pollution. Customers can bring in empty containers and fill them with food, cleaning products, hygiene products etc. It was a wonderful learning experience. The committee members were treated to pancakes and hot chocolate in WBs coffee house to thank them for their commitment and dedication over the last two years.
