A lovely month of September in 3rd class drew to a close with our class visit to Sligo Woodland School. We were made very welcome by Trisha MacLaughlin who organised the workshop for us. We spent some time with soil scientist Dr. Aga, where we learnt that "soil is not dirt" as it has many important functions that contribute to our everyday lives. We did an experiment to test the pH of soil and had lots of fun practicing archery, creating clay faces and lighting fires!
