Third Class News
Library Visit
Third class visited the library this week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The students had time to browse the children’s section and select books to read independently as well as listen to the librarian read aloud to them. Many children brought their library cards and enthusiastically borrowed books. 📚 We are so lucky to be able to walk to such a fantastic local facility and read for pleasure.
Engineer’s Week
The children worked in groups to build the tallest paper tower possible that could support a marker without collapsing. First, they examined some of the world’s tallest structures, including the Eiffel Tower. They were provided with 12 sheets of paper, tape and scissors. They had a planning sheet to plan their towers in advance and to communicate their ideas. Well done to all the students for their great structures.
