It is a school tradition to support the Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal. If you would like to take part, the shoeboxes will be collected after the October mid-term break. Thursday, 10th November will be the final day for collection. We have sent home the leaflet with the necessary information.
For assembly this morning, we were joined by Jennifer Irwin who explained how to complete a shoebox.
These are the recommendations for filling a shoebox:
‘Please put in a selection of small gifts from the options below: (but out of respect for the children we ask that all items be new, or good as new)’
TO WRITE – Items for school – like a pen, pencil, copy book, paper, colouring book, felt pens, sharpener, eraser, solar calculator.
TO WASH – Some hygiene items – toothbrush and toothpaste, soap (wrapped please), facecloth, hairbrush, comb.
TO WEAR – Small clothing items – a hat, scarf, gloves, socks, etc.
To WOW – Something the child will enjoy.
