To celebrate science week, Fifth Class carried out research on different scientists. The children explored the studies and findings of Marie Curie, Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein. Later in the week they participated in a science quiz and answered questions about the solar system, animals, magnetism, famous scientists and experiments. Friday was the highlight of the week as the students worked in groups to demonstrate an experiment of their choice. We watched volcanoes erupt and read secret messages that were recorded using invisible ink. The children also powered a clock using a potato, made lemon volcanoes and made water walk!
