We celebrated the wonderful success of our school garden by having a whole school picnic in the playground. All hands were on deck this morning to harvest the luscious lettuce, herbs and salad leaves from our four raised beds. We were thrilled with how well the crops thrived. All pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth Class received a sandwich with the produce from the garden. It was a very rewarding experience for the children to sample the variety of crops they worked so hard to grow. A big thank you to the Parent Association for making the sandwiches for the children to enjoy.
