As part of our Green Flag and Active Flag programmes, all classes in Carbury NS followed the PAWS programme. PAWS stands for Primary Acquatics Water Safety. The Green School's Committee came and spoke with each class about the programme in advance and shared details about the 'Water Safety' poster competition.
During Active Week, all classes learned about water safety in pools, rivers and beaches. They learned about the importance of having an adult with them while in the water and how to be safe of farms, at home and on our waterways. The children really enjoyed the programme and learned some valuable information ahead of their summer holidays. The PAWS website has lots of games and quizzes. Each class will receive a certificate before the end of the year.
