Many thanks to our Green School officer Dolores, for visiting Carbury and giving an insightful talk on food miles. Food miles refers to the distance food travels from where it is produced to where it is consumed. Dolores explained how food transportation contributes to carbon emissions and encouraged the pupils to reduce these miles. The pupils learned by choosing locally sourced produce we can help reduce pollution, support local farmers, and promote sustainable eating habits. We look forward to more interesting and informative workshops from Dolores this year.
