Frame the Future
The Frame the Future art initiative, in partnership with The Model, has been an enriching experience for both the staff and pupils of Carbury School.
Hosting Andy Parsons as our artist-in-residence was truly special, as it offered the children unique insights into an artist’s creative process. Witnessing aspects of school life captured on canvas was particularly memorable. Additionally, one pupil was honoured with the opportunity to have their portrait painted by Andy, which was a truly inspiring experience. Celeen Mahé facilitated a series of art workshops with the 4th and 5th Classes, where hands-on sessions helped pupils develop their skills and explore different mediums. Through these workshops, pupils learned to observe and thoughtfully engage with their subjects as they created. Three pieces from the Niland Collection were also displayed in the school corridors, allowing pupils to connect with remarkable artwork in a natural, everyday setting.
Overall, Frame the Future has fostered a deeper appreciation for art within our school community, inspiring both creativity and curiosity among pupils and staff alike. We are grateful for this invaluable experience and look forward to seeing how it shapes the future of art in Carbury School.
