First Class “ducked” out of Carbury on Friday to feed some feathered friends who share the Garavogue River. We felt it our duty to show some kindness to these creatures to compensate them for the horrors we had heard about in Roald Dahl’s book, The Twits. We had started to read this book in class on Roald Dahl Day, 13th September. On John Fallon Bridge we delighted some diving ducks, pecking pigeons and swooping seagulls. Mr Twit went to a lot of bother with his hugtight glue when all that was needed was a few stale crusts!
