Over the course of two Fridays, Ingrid Foley from SEAI facilitated a series of energy workshops with pupils in 1st to 6th Class. Some of the younger children met Guzzler, the puppet who loves to waste energy. Through a series of games and activities, the classes learned where our energy comes from, why and how we save energy. The senior pupils also explored the principles of energy, the current global problems and what we can do to help, as well as the science of energy and climate change. The pupils enjoyed these workshops and gained a greater appreciation for the importance of using energy wisely.
