Third Class students were invited to a creative writing workshop hosted by Sligo Library on Friday the 14th of June. The author Méabh McDonnell spoke about how the idea for her book ‘Into the Witchwood’ occurred on her daily walks in the woods during Covid. She shared the different steps of writing her story and that books often begin with a ‘What if’ prompt. The pupils shared some of their ‘What if’ ideas and Méabh was very impressed with their creativity. There are lots of exciting workshops happening in Sligo library this Saturday as part of the Cruinniú na nÓg celebrations.
