This month Junior Infants have been learning all about the garden centre.
- Role-play: the pupils loved taking on different roles such as customer, gardener and cashier.
- Construction: using polyhedron’s, the pupils built a garden centre.
- Writing: in their Aistear copies, the pupils wrote sentences related to the garden centre.
- Art: they made ladybirds, flowers, watering cans and caterpillars.
- Sand:the pupils loved finding objects in the sand.
- Water:the pupils revised their knowledge of capacity.
- Playdough: using playdough the children made objects that would be found at a garden centre.
- Science:the pupils learned about the lifecycle of a ladybird. They also learned about magnets.
- Planting: the pupils planted cress seeds and are having great fun watching them grow.
- Cutting: the children cut out the lifecycle of a plant and stuck them in the correct order.
