Since the 31st of August, First Class has been patiently counting down to the 100th day of this school year. Each morning a number on our 100 square was carefully coloured. While interest may have dwindled in the early stages, once we reached 50 the anticipation once again gained momentum. It is clearly obvious that all the pupils are now 100 days wiser. They read with expression, write very neatly, recite their Tables and love to speak Irish. They deservedly enjoyed their pizzas but most impressive of all is the high level of kindness and tolerance that is to be found within this group of wonderful children. After we had all gone home on Tuesday evening Bert swooped down from his nesting box to tidy up some crumbs of wisdom.
